Biography
An original member of the AND 1 Team, AO attended Simon Gratz High School in Philadelphia, where he graduated in 1994. He played college basketball at Henderson State in Arkansas from 1998-1999, where he graduated in 1999 and was a Division II All-American. His other experiences include playing for the Fort Wayne Fury of the CBA in 1999, in Israel in 2000 (where he averaged 19 points and 7 assists) and for the Mobile Revelers of the NBDL in their championship 2002-2003 season. AO joined the AND 1 Mix Tape Tour in 2001 after AND 1 noticed him back in a Philly vs. NYC in a promotional game in 2000. He is one of the five original squad members.

Trivia
- Often throws his shoes and parts of his uniforms to fans after a game.
- Leaves the designated "autograph" area after the game to meet and greet the fans waiting in line
- Averages around 10-20 points per game and 20+ assists per game. With "ankle breakers" and "playground moves" included as statistics, he averages a triple-double.
- Since 2004, Owens has sported a Mohawk hairstyle.
- On the back of his jersey for the AND 1 Streetball Mix Tape Tour, Owens wears "AO" as his number and "Philly" as his name.
