Alan Jeffery Anderson (born on October 16, 1982, in Minneapolis, Minnesota) is an American professional basketball player, more recently for the NBA's Charlotte Bobcats. Anderson re-signed with the Bobcats for whom he played during the previous season. He was waived by the team in November 2006. He plays the shooting guard/small forward positions and attended Michigan State University. Prior to Anderson's 2007 re-signing, he had been playing with the NBA D-League's Tulsa 66ers, averaging 15.8 points per game.

Anderson participated in the 2000 USA Basketball Youth Development Festival, leading the North squad to a gold medal.

One of MSU's best ballhandlers, he was the primary point guard his junior season. Anderson as a college senior averaged 13.2 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists. All-Big Team honors. He also helped lead the Spartans to the 2005 Final Four. Voted MVP by the team and media as a senior. He earned his four-year degree from Michigan State University on May 7, 2005 in Community Family Services. He ranks eighth in MSU history in career free-throw percentage at 81.3 (265-of-326).

Anderson featured in a commercial his sophomore year in High School. AMCE a company in New York promoting minority students to become more interested in math and science.

On September 13, 2007, he signed a contract with Italian giants VidiVici Bologna
