On December 19, 2006 Allen Iverson was traded to the Denver Nuggets.

Led the NBA in minutes per game, ranked second in points per game, seventh in steals per game and eighth in assists per game . Had 18 double-doubles (points-assists). Scored a season-high 53 points at Atlanta (12/23), his 10th-career 50-point game.

Overall, has 74 career games with 40 or more points and had 15 in 2005-06. Had five 40-point, 10-assist games (4-1) to lead the league and land in the company of Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, Nate Archibald and Michael Jordan as the only players in league history to have five in a season. Allen Iverson is considered by many to be the best player in basketball today.

  • In his days playing for Bethel High School, fans of the school, and Iverson, were known to scream out "Bubba Chuck"--a little known nickname of his--when he was playing.
  • NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Brendan Gaughan was Iverson's college basketball teammate at Georgetown, and is considered one of Iverson's close friends.
  • As a junior, Iverson mostly quarterbacked Bethel High School's football team to the state championship title and played 5 different positions to help his team get to the state championship (Quarterback, Wide Receiver, Safety, Running Back, Special Teams (Punt/Kick Returner)).
  • Iverson was the first major client of New Jersey attorney-agent Leon Rose.
  • His mother, Ann Iverson, is the owner of the Richmond, Virginia-based Richmond Ballerz, an American Basketball Association franchise.
