Alfred A. ("Al" or "Allie") Heerdt (August 9, 1881 - February 4, 1958) was an American professional player and coach in the early 20th Century.

He was the captain of the Hall of Fame Buffalo Germans, a team that won 111 straight games in a stretch from 1908 to 1910.

After his playing days were over Heerdt managed the Buffalo Bisons in the professional American Basketball League, which lasted for only one unsuccessful season, 1925-26. Some sources refer to this ABL team with the alternate nickname, "Germans".

Heerdt resurrected the Bisons name in the 1930s. The Buffalo Bisons played in the Midwest Basketball Conference (MBC) in the 1935-36 season. The next year the league changed its name to the National Basketball League (NBL) and the Bisons played in that league in 1936-37. The Bisons returned to the NBL for the 1946-47 season. Heerdt's role in all these teams is unclear, however, it is known that he was the coach of the MBC and NBL Bisons.

He also coached at Niagara College for just one season (1910-11) and accumulated a 7-7 record. He also coached at the University of Buffalo.
