Walker played two seasons at the University of Kentucky and averaged 11.7 points and 6.5 rebounds in 69 games before becoming an early entry candidate. Walker led Kentucky to the 1996 NCAA championship, leading the team in rebounding (8.4 rpg) and minutes (27.0 mpg).
