Arnold D. Risen (born October 9, 1924 in Williamstown, Kentucky) is a retired American basketball player.

A 6'9", 210 lbs. center from the Ohio State University. He led the Buckeyes to two straight NCAAA Final Four appearances, in 1944 and 1945. In the 1945-46 season, Risen played just six games in the first semester before becoming academically ineligible. He then signed a pro contract with the Indianapolis Kautskys of the National Basketball League (NBL). Without their star center, Ohio State lost in the semi-finals for the third consecutive year.

Risen played professionally in the NBL for two seasons (1946-47) and in the NBA for ten seasons (1948-58) as a member of the Rochester Royals and Boston Celtics. He was named to the All-NBL second team in 1946-47. He was among the slew of NBL stars, including George Mikan, Red Holzman and Jim Pollard, who jumped to the rival Basketball Association of America (BAA) before the 1947-48 season.

Risen was four-time All-Star and two-time NBA Champion, and he scored 7,633 points in his career. He was elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1998.
