Bob Menke

Robert H. "Bob" Menke, (1920? - March 30, 2008) was a college basketball player for Indiana University.

He was a center on Huntingburg (Indiana) High School's 1937 state runner-up basketball team and was the winner of the Indiana High School Athletic Association's (IHSAA) mental attitude Gimble Award (now called the Trester Award). He then played at Indiana University, where he and older brother Bill Menke were members of the Hoosiers' 1940 NCAA championship team.

He served in World War II as an Army Air Corps officer, and he played on and later coached service teams.

After the War he returned to Dubois County and founded Styline Corp. furniture company, which now has more than 2,000 employees and is known as OFS Brands Inc.

Menke was elected to a term in the Indiana House in 1952 and served on the IU Board of Trustees.

He is a member of the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame.
