Brad Newley

Bradley Newley (born February 18, 1985, in Lower Mitcham, South Australia) is an Australian professional basketball player for the Adelaide 36ers in the National Basketball League. He was also selected in the second round of the 2007 NBA Draft, 54th overall, by the Houston Rockets.
Career
Newley made his NBL debut with the Townsville Crocodiles in the 2004-05 NBL Season. His performances as a rookie won him both the Rookie of the Year and the Best Sixth Man awards.
He was part of the Australian National Basketball Team, the Boomers, which won gold at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne. He also declared himself eligible for the 2006 NBA Draft, but withdrew prior to the deadline. He played with the Boomers at the 2006 FIBA World Championship in Japan and averaged 8.1 points per game and 2.5 rebounds per game.
Recently, Newley was selected and started in the NBL "Australian All-Star" team, which lost to the NBL "World All-Star" team on November 25, 2006 in the 2006-07 NBL All-Star Match in Adelaide, South Australia at the Distinctive Homes Dome.
Newley made himself eligible for the 2007 NBA Draft as an International Eligibility draft chance. He was subsequently drafted by the Houston Rockets with the 54th pick of 2007 NBA draft.
On April 27, 2007, Newley signed with Adelaide 36ers for the 2007-08 NBL Season.
