Buffalo Bisons were a professional team based in Buffalo, New York, who played in the American Basketball League and lasted for only one unsuccessful season, 1925-26, in which they finished with a 10-20 record. Sometimes this team was referred to with the alternate nickname, "Germans," an allusion to the legendary team from the turn of the Century. The Bisons were indeed coached by former Buffalo Germans star Allie Heerdt.
