UCLA has won more men’s championships than any other school. Tennessee and UConn have dominated the women’s tournament for two decades. But they still have to play the game, even when everyone knows that Goliath will always crush David. The Dukes, North Carolinas and Kentuckies of the world still have to come and play the Winthrops, VCUs, George Masons and Louisiana Techs.
And are they Ephs or Purple Cows? Who are Fighting Camels? Do I need to know something about Wisconsin—Stevens Point? Isn't there a sad story about the only team to win the NCAA and NIT tournaments in the same year? Which school's Men's and Women's teams won their respective tournaments in the same year?
