Cathy Rush

Cathy Rush (born April 7, 1947 in Atlantic City, New Jersey) was the head women's basketball coach at Immaculata College, 1972-77. She led Immaculata to three consecutive national titles in 1972, 1973 and 1974. She led the Mighty Macs to six consecutive Final Four appearances in her six seasons with the school, attaining a 149-15 record (.908).
Rush graduated from Oakcrest High School (May's Landing, New Jersey) and West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
A feature film based on the Mighty Macs, Our Lady of Victory is due to be released in 2008.
Since 1971 she has been running the Future Stars children's camps in the Philadelphia area. She is also a motivational speaker.
Cathy Rush was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2008 as a coach. She was inducted to the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2000 and the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame in 2005. She is also a member of the Pennsylvania Hall of Fame, the Philadelphia Big Five Hall of Fame and the Delaware County (PA) Hall of Fame.
