Central Connecticut State University is a state university in New Britain, Connecticut. It is the oldest public university and ranks third oldest of all universities in Connecticut, having been founded in 1849.

The Central Connecticut State Blue Devils Basketball team is the basketball team that represent Central Connecticut State University in New Britain, Connecticut. The school's team currently competes in the Northeast Conference. The team last played in the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament in 2007. The Blue Devils are currently coached by Howie Dickenman.
