China
From Hoopedia
The People's Republic of China has one of the most successful basketball programs in the world. Men's teams have won numerous Asian championships, including the prestigious FIBA Asia Championship for Men since joining FIBA in 1974. Women's teams have also enjoyed a good deal of success in international competitions. There are many national teams, however, for both men and women, divided according to age and event. China boasts two professional basketball leagues for men and one for women.
