NBA Career

Following a college career at the University of Texas at Austin, Mihm was the 7th overall pick of the 2000 NBA Draft, chosen by the Chicago Bulls. He was traded 15 minutes later to the Cleveland Cavaliers for their pick, Jamal Crawford. In the weeks prior to the draft, Mihm had been floated as a potential number one overall selection, but concerns about his toughness dropped him in many scouts' books. He has averaged 8.0 points per game in his career, which has also included a stint with the Boston Celtics. Mihm was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in a trade that sent Rick Fox and Gary Payton to the Celtics. He started at center for the Lakers developing as a low-post presence. He posted a career-high scoring average of 9.8 points per game, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks. His professional career has been plagued by injuries and as such he has missed many games.

Mihm became a free-agent following the 2006-07 season. He was sought by the Chicago Bulls to help with their low-post scoring but the Bulls signed Joe Smith. Mihm re-signed with the Lakers on July 19 as reported by NBA.com.
