David Meyers

David William (Dave) Meyers (born April 21, 1953 in San Diego, California) was an American college basketball player at the University of California, Los Angeles and professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association for the Milwaukee Bucks. He is the older brother of Ann Meyers, an outstanding basketball player, and the first woman to be offered a tryout by the NBA.

High school and College

David attended high school at Sonora High School in La Habra, California. David was a player on the UCLA Bruins men's basketball teams that won the 1973 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament and 1975 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament.

NBA

David was the second pick in the first round of the 1975 NBA Draft. He was part of one of the biggest sports trades in NBA history. Meyers, along with Elmore Smith, Junior Bridgeman, and Brian Winters, were traded to the Milwaukee Bucks for Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Walt Wesley. Meyers played for the Bucks for four seasons.
