Dennis Haslam

Dennis Haslam is entering his 10th year as president and chief operating officer of Larry H. Miller Sports & Entertainment Group of Companies. In this role, Haslam sets the strategic goals for the franchise as well as analyzes future growth opportunities. On a day-to-day basis, he leads the senior management team responsible for overseeing the Utah Jazz, Salt Lake Bees, Delta Center, KJZZ-TV, All-Star Catering, Fanzz retail sports apparel stores and LHM Advertising. He also oversees operations at Jordan Commons, the Megaplex Theatres and The Mayan restaurant.

Haslam joined the Larry H. Miller family from the Salt Lake City law firm of Winder & Haslam, which he co-founded in 1983. His expertise is sports and entertainment law and commercial transactions. Past chair of the Utah Bar Foundation and past president of the Utah State Bar, Haslam has also served on the Utah Judicial Council and the Utah Sports Authority, builder of several 2002 Olympic Winter Games’ venues. He currently serves on the board of governors of the Salt Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, which gives him the opportunity to enhance relationships between the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies and the community.

Haslam graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor’s degree in history in 1973 and a Juris Doctor in 1976. He has taught law as an adjunct professor at his alma mater. His leisure activities include scuba diving, tennis and golf. Haslam and his wife, Deborah, have three children: Peter, Carter and Madeleine.
