Dennis Murphy

Dennis Murphy (1926? - ?) was an American sports entrepreneur. He, along with Gary Davidson, founded the American Basketball Association in 1967. Murphy was a co-owner of the Oakland Oaks, an original ABA franchise, along with singer Pat Boone and Davidson. Murphy went on to be the the general manager of the Denver Rockets franchise.
Murphy and Davidson went on to found the World Hockey Association in 1971.
