Elliott Sadler

Elliott William Barnes Sadler (born April 30, 1975 in Emporia, Virginia) is a former high school basketball player and NASCAR driver in the Nextel Cup Series. He drive the #19 Dodge Dealers Dodge for Evernham Motorsports. Sadler was a talented athlete in high school and Elliott was involved in six sports in high school, excelling in baseball and basketball. He was recruited by no fewer than 18 colleges. Sadler walked onto James Madison University for a chance to play basketball, but a knee injury ended his basketball career. After that, Sadler set his goals to race in NASCAR and he credits his grandfather Bud Elliott for starting the racing tradition.
Interests include eating what he calls hot-dog burgers and playing video games involving NASCAR. He is also a diehard North Carolina Tar Heels basketball fan and attends some of the games when he isn't racing. Sadler has met Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods at charity golf games.
Sadler is single but has previously been engaged to Carolina Panthers cheerleader Lisa Tollet and is currently dating Amanda Prince. He is sort of a folk hero in his hometown of Emporia, Virginia as one town Sadler, Virginia bears Elliott's face and name on several businesses and a large sign that says "Good Luck Elliott and Hermie!!". Sadler has 38 hunting dogs, a reference to his former car number and he can identify them each by the sound of their bark.
