D.H.P Park Players / Park Legends, started out as a community activist group that campaigned with Baltimore City, The Mayor’s office, and Baltimore City Recreation & Parks to refurbish the basketball court in Druid Hill Park for our inner city youth as a retreat from the streets. As a result of many years of hard work and dedication, we now have a clean and safe environment for our kids to come and play. As an addition to this achievement, we are now part of Baltimore’s City Partnership Group, and known in many other community groups throughout the Baltimore region. Our children come here not only to learn the great game of Basketball, but also as a self-directed learning program on how to give back to their communities and their families. Our mentors are well known in the community and they help the children to grow and learn leadership skills, responsibility and character. This organization has turned out some of Maryland’s most recognized Basketball Stars from top high school players, to college, even the NBA. Every year these stars return to the tournament to enjoy a day full of love and remembrance.

This year’s tournament means a great deal to us, because we are commemorating, “A New Beginning: PACE”, which means, “Positive Attitude Changes Everything”. So for that, we are celebrating our fifth annual family basketball tournament that brings new life to a place of family togetherness. Our tournament is not only just to play the game of Basketball, but to come out and enjoy different family events that occur throughout the day. Every year, we have hundreds of people come out and share the fun and sit back and just filled their day with excitement. We have free food, free health and safety information, free giveaways, books for toddlers, supplies for back to school, and most of all; all day hoops! Our group has been feature on local news from, WJZ- 13, Fox 45 News, The Press Box, and 92Q Jams. As major contributors to this worthy cause, we recognize the following organizations: Comcast Cable, Camden Body & Fender Co. Baltimore City Police Department, University of Maryland Campus Police, and Baltimore City Recreation and Parks. Come out and join in all the fun in which to celebrate a year of new beginnings.
