Gabriel "Gabe" Daniel Norwood (born on February 2, 1985) is a Filipino-American former NCAA basketball player at George Mason University. He is also played for the Philippine National Basketball team and currently playing in the Philippine Basketball League for the Hapee Toothpaste.

Collegiate career

Norwood spent his life in many different parts of the United States while his father coached different collegiate football teams. In high school, he and his brother (Jordan Norwood, a football player at Penn State where his father currently coaches) were part of the state championship team at State College Area High School.

About the Player

Norwood is undoubtedly one of the biggest attractions in the league with his jaw-dropping, never-seen slams by a local player. The 6-3 guard was a member of the National Team, which represent us in the Williams Jones Cup, and in the 2007 FIBA Asia Championship.

He will showcase his talent in the PBL that's because Hapee Toothpaste’s Fil-Am Gabe Norwood will be bringing his act to the league, while the Philippine team shows how far it has improved since its formation last month when it battles a team raring to gain a piece of history.

National team

Norwood was named to the Philippine training pool for future international competitions. He has played in the 2007 Williams Jones Cup held in the Taiwan, in which the national team finished third place in the tournament.
