Harvey Catchings

Harvey Lee Catchings (born September 2, 1951, in Jackson, Mississippi) is an American former professional basketball player in the NBA, best known for an incident where he mistakenly won a game for the other team he was facing.
He is probably most well known for mistakenly knocking the ball into his team's own basket while a player for the Milwaukee Bucks in a game against the Atlanta Hawks at the end of the 4th quarter, giving the Hawks the victory.
He also played for the New Jersey Nets, Philadelphia 76ers, and finished his career with the Los Angeles Clippers in 1985. He has career averages of 3.2 ppg and 5.0 rpg.
Catchings is the father of WNBA star Tamika Catchings, who currently plays for the Indiana Fever.
