The failure to lure Romel Adducul from Ginebra puts a lot of pressure on this 6-8 lanky center who had a brief stint with the University of the Philippines in the UAAP. And Reyes knows that it will take tremendous effort to become a force to reckon with in the PBA.
The 22-year slotman averaged 7.9 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game for Rain or Shine in the last PBL Unity Cup and Welcoat hopes that he can do the same or even exceed expectations. But Reyes, one of the three directly elevated from the franchise’s PBL team, needs to work on his free throw shooting as he hit only 67 percent in the last tournament.
