Jilin Northeast Tigers

Jilin Tonggang Northeast Tigers (吉林通钢东北虎) or Jilin Northeast Tigers or Jilin Tonggang are a basketball team in the North Division of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), based in Changchun, Jilin.
They were known as Jilin Yiqi (吉林一汽) in 2002–03 and Jilin Jiliang (吉林吉粮) in 2001–02 and Jilin Henghe (吉林恒和) in 2000–01. Presumably these reflect changes of corporates sponsorship.
In the 2004–05 season, the Jilin Northeast Tigers finished in fourth place in the North Division, but lost in the quarter-finals to the South Division's Guangdong Southern Tigers, the defending champions. In 2005–06 they had the same finish and suffered the exact same fate; in fact, it was the third year in a row that the "northern tigers" were eliminated in the playoffs by the "southern tigers".
