Joe Devance

Joe Calvin Devance (born on March 12, 1983 in Honolulu, Hawaii) is a 6 ft 7 and 215 lb forward/center who is a Filipino-American professional basketball player in the Philippine Basketball Association for the Welcoat Dragons. He also played in UTEP Miners in his Collegiate career.

About the Player

Undoubtedly the greatest talent in this year’s Draft, this 6-7 Fil-Am center has the makings of a great player, having a good perimeter game, impressive post-up moves and great work ethics. Welcoat was just too glad to have him in the team.

The former University of Texas El Paso standout was a one-time MVP in the amateurs, edging Talk 'N Text's Anthony Washington for that honor. The 24-year old Devance finally gives the Welcoat frontline some depth and legitimate scoring threat inside and outside, allowing Reyes to concentrate more on the defensive end.
