Joe Marcus Johnson was born on June 29, 1981. He drafted 10th overall in the 2001 Draft by the Boston Celtics. Joe played for the Celtics for 2 years until he got traded to the Phoenix Suns for two second round picks and Tony Delk. In 2005, when Joe had his best year in Phoenix was injured in the second round of the playoffs. He came back in the the seventh game of the western confernce finals. He and Amare Stoudemire both had a spectular game though Tim Duncan and the San Antonio Spurs surged through and went on to win the 2005 NBA finals. Joe was upset for being the forth option for the Suns, he was relassed in the off-season and eventulary got dealted in a sign and trade deal to the Hawks for Boris Diaw and two furture first round picks. Joe is a now part of the 2006-2008 USA roster and was recently the first Atlanta Hawks player since Shareef Abdur-Rahim in 2002 to be named an all-star. Joe was a replacement for Jason Kidd.
