- 1989 - Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (right) plays in his last NBA game, as the Los Angeles Lakers get swept by the Detroit Pistons in the NBA Finals.
- 1993 - The Phoenix Suns down the host Chicago Bulls, 129-121, in triple-overtime in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. It is only the second triple-OT game in Finals history.
- 1997 - In Game 6 of the NBA Finals, Steve Kerr hits a jumper with five seconds left to clinch the title for the Bulls.
