Kansas City Stars was a developmental team for the Harlem Globetrotters. They may have begun operations in 1946. Newly-signed Globetrotters were often assigned to play with the Stars for a short period -- several months or a season -- to learn Globetrotter routines and become acclimated to the Globetrotter life.
