A hard foul by Mardy Collins of the New York Knicks escalated into a bench-clearing brawl between the Knicks and Denver Nuggets at Madison Square Garden on December 17, 2006. As a result, Carmelo Anthony was suspeneded for 15 games and J.R. Smith for ten games.
