Linas Kleiza

Linas Kleiza (pronounced "LIN-as CLAY-za") (born January 3, 1985 in Kaunas, Lithuanian SSR, Soviet Union) is a Lithuanian professional basketball player in the NBA for the Denver Nuggets.

Kleiza, a 6'8", 245 lbs. (2.03 m, 111 kg) small forward, came to the U.S. in 2002 to play a season of high school basketball at Montrose Christian High School in Rockville, Maryland, and went on to play two years of college basketball at Missouri. Kleiza was taken with the 27th overall pick of the 2005 NBA Draft by the Portland Trail Blazers and traded to Denver on draft day.

In the 2006-07 season Kleiza has established himself as a solid three point shooter, shooting a solid 39% after hitting only 2 from 13 in his rookie season.

He holds career averages of 7.2 points per game and 3.4 rebounds per game, while having career highs of 29 points and 10 rebounds.

He has career highs of 41 points (vs. Utah Jazz, January 17, 2008) 11 rebounds (vs. New Jersey Nets, january 25, 2008)
