Lindsey Hunter

Lindsey Benson Hunter, Jr. (born December 3, 1970, in Utica, Mississippi) is an American professional basketball player in the NBA. He is a guard for the Detroit Pistons in active rotation off the bench.
The Detroit Pistons drafted Hunter with the 10th pick in 1993 draft, and he has played with the them for most of his career, for seven seasons from 1993 to 2000 and then again from September 2003 to present. He was traded to the Boston Celtics in February 2004 along with Chucky Atkins for Mike James, but never played a game for the Celtics as he was immediately released and re-signed by Detroit 10 days later. Hunter has also played for the Milwaukee Bucks, Toronto Raptors, Los Angeles Lakers and was part of both the Lakers' 2001-02 championship team and the Pistons' 2003-04 championship team.
Offensively, Hunter has been a high-percentage three-point shooter throughout his career, several times topping the list of three-point shots made in a season. Defensively, he has a very "scrappy" style of play and is known for his stealing ability, currently ranked fourth in steals per 48 minutes. During a 2007 game `against the Orlando Magic, ESPN analyst Bill Walton stated that Hunter was` one or the most underrated players in NBA history.
On March 7, 2007, Hunter was suspended for ten games after testing positive for phentermine. He claimed he was using his wife's diet pills, which made him test positive for phenthermine.
He currently resides in Plymouth, Michigan with his wife, Ivy, and their four children.
