Percy Miller (born April 29, 1969, although some source cite 1968 or 1970), also known as "Master P" and "P. Miller" is an American rapper. He is the founder and CEO of P. Miller Enterprises, an entertainment and financial conglomerate. He is also the father of rapper, actor and basketball player, Percy Romeo Miller Jr..

Despite making a fortune from his various successful business ventures, Miller continued to play basketball at a high level, seeking to make it into the NBA.

Miller was born in New Orleans, the oldest of five children. He attended Booker T. Washington and Warren Easton High Schools in New Orleans.

Miller claims that he received a basketball scholarship to attend the University of Houston, injured his knee in a preseason practice and left the team when he refused to be red-shirted. Houston officials believe he was a walk-on, but do not dispute that he may have been a scholarship athlete. He never played in a game for Houston, however.

He moved to Richmond, California and opened a small record store.

Miller signed contracts with NBA teams twice, with the Charlotte Hornets during the 1998-99 season and the Toronto Raptors in 1999 pre-season, but never played in the NBA. He never saw action in an NBA regular season game.

Miller has persistently pursued his dream of playing in the NBA by honing his skills with numerous minor league teams. He played in eight games for the Fort Wayne Fury of the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) during the 1998-99 season and for the San Diego Stingrays of the International Basketball League subsequently. In 2000 he played for the Atlantic City Seagulls of the United States Basketball Association. In the 2004-05 season, Miller played for the Las Vegas Rattlers and Long Beach Jam of the new American Basketball Association. In 2005 Mlller was on the roster for the team fielded by the Sacramento Kings in the Vegas Summer League.

He played in the 2008 McDonald's NBA All-Star Celebrity Game and scored 17 points in total, hitting two crucial free throws at the end to win the game.
