Miami University (colloquially and incorrectly referred to as Miami of Ohio) is a selective coeducational American public university founded in 1809 in the university town of Oxford, Ohio with its primary focus on educating undergraduates. It is considered one of the original eight Public Ivies listed by Richard Moll in 1985.
