Michael Douglas

Michael Douglas begins his first season as the Athletic Trainer of the Albuquerque Thunderbirds. Previously, Michael had worked three seasons as the Memphis Grizzlies Assistant Trainer, Strength and Conditioning Assistant and Equipment Manager, after serving as Head Trainer in the International Basketball League.
He also worked four seasons as an intern with the Buffalo Bills (N.F.L), Graduate Assistant at Morehouse College, and Student Assistant with USA Basketball during the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia. Douglas has worked with numerous athletes in a number of professional sports and has a solid record of results. Douglas is a Certified Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainers Association Member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and Certified in Older Adult Fitness by the American Institute of Fitness Educators. Douglas is also a sought after speaker and educator. The Georgia native also holds a Masters degree in Exercise Physiology from Life University in Atlanta, Georgia and is a Candidate for Doctorate in Athletic Training.
