A state-of-the-art facility that seats 10,000, Mohegan Sun Arena has hosted a wide variety of major sporting events since its opening in November 2002, including Davis Cup tennis, world championship boxing, NBA and college basketball, indoor lacrosse, bull riding and arena football. The list of internationally famous entertainers who have performed at Connecticut’s premier entertainment venue include Cher, REM, Coldplay, Gloria Estefan, Janet Jackson, Jimmy Buffet, James Taylor, David Bowie, Bon Jovi, Phil Collins, Aerosmith, Rod Stewart, Justin Timberlake, Lenny Kravitz, Tim McGraw, Sheryl Crow, Bob Seger and Shania Twain. Industry publications recognized Mohegan Sun Arena with lofty year-end rankings for 2006. Internationally, the facility rated No. 5 on the Billboard chart, and No. 13 on the Pollstar chart.
