- 1950 - (Right) Drawing lots out of a hat for three members of the defunct Chicago Stags franchise, Boston Celtics owner Walter Brown and coach Red Auerbach thought they ended up the booby prize: Bob Cousy. Cousy would lead the Celts to six NBA Championships.
