Paul Harris

Paul Harris (born October 15, 1986) is a 6'4" American basketball player who plays as a shooting guard for the Syracuse Orange.

High School
Harris began his high school basketball career at Niagara Falls High School, where his defensive prowess and aggressiveness made him a recruiting target by his sophomore year. After the summer following his junior year, he chose Syracuse University over the University of Pittsburgh. Following his commitment, he transferred to Notre Dame Prep school in Massachusetts.
During this time, Harris faced minor drug and domestic violence charges and spent time in jail.[1]
College
Harris was named the 2006-2007 Big East preseason Rookie of the Year, and made his Syracuse University debut in an exhibition victory against Bryant University on November 1st. In his first four games, he had two double-doubles, including 16 points against Northeastern. He was also named to the Jordan All-American Classic. [2]
At the end of the season, Harris was selected to the Big East All Rookie Team. [3]
Harris will be reunited with high school teammate Johnny Flynn in the 2007-08 season. Flynn has signed a national letter of intent to play college basketball at Syracuse after graduating high school. [4]
Personal life
Harris has a three year-old son who lives with him on South Campus at Syracuse University. [5]
