Randy Moss

Randy Moss is a professional football player and high school basketball player. Moss currently plays in the Natioanl Football League with the New England Patriots at wide receiver. He also played with the Minnesota Vikings for seven years and the Oakland Raiders for two years.
Moss attended Dupont High School (now defunct, but consolidated into Riverside high School). He ended his basketball career at DuPont with 1,713 points scored. He was named the state's Athlete of the Year once in football and twice in basketball. In high school Moss was a close friend with Jason Williams who would go onto play in the NBA.
Moss decided to focus mainly on football although many argue he could have played multiple sports. Out of high school, Moss was recruited heavily by Notre Dame, Florida State amonng others. Lou Holtz once said Moss was "the greatest athlete he ever saw" and "a bigger Deion Sanders". Moss accepted a scholarship to Florida State but was kicked off the team for an incident involving himself and another student. Moss decided to go to I-AA Marshall University which was an hour or so away from his home in West Virginia and also close friend Jason Williams was playing college basketball there at the time. Moss played football at Marshall and set numerous records and also had an award named for him, the Randy Moss award which is awarded to College Football's best kick returner.
