Russell J. Warren joined the Silver Stars as Director of Business Operations in June 2006... He manages the franchise’s business operations, overseeing all aspects of the WNBA day-to-day operations and working on promoting women's basketball in the community... a Texas Tech alumnus, Warren spent the last three years as an assistant athletic director for the Red Raiders, working with Marsha Sharp and the Lady Raider basketball program... During Warren's tenure, the Lady Raider program, which is considered a model for best practices in the NCAA, saw a significant increase in attendance and financial success... Prior to earning his assistant athletic director title, Warren served as director of ticket operations for the department beginning in 1996, after serving as director of marketing and special events for the Southwest Conference during its final years...
