Russell Westbrook (born November 12, 1988 in Hawthorne, California) is a rookie Point guard for the Seattle SuperSonics.

College career
Westbrook went to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Westbrook was a backup in his freshman year of 2006-07, but he emerged in 2007-08, as he helped lead UCLA to the 2008 Final Four, before falling to Memphis.

Westbrook declared for the draft following his 2007-08 season and was drafted 4th overall in the 2008 NBA Draft by the Seattle SuperSonics.
