The No. 6 jersey was retired to acknowledge the support of the Kings fans. A sellout streak of 497 games still stands as the fourth-longest sellout streak in NBA history. The milestone streak began on opening night in 1985, the first season the Kings played in Sacramento, and ended after the second game of the 1997-98 season. Entering the 2006-07 campaign, the Kings have sold out 313 games, the longest active streak in the league.
