Sam Lacey, a 6-10, 235 forward out of New Mexico State, played almost all of his 13 NBA seasons with the Kings franchise. The first selection of the Royals in the 1970 NBA Draft, Lacey averaged a double-double in points and rebounds in his first six seasons in the league. Lacey stands as the franchise leader in games played (888) and rebounds (9,353). He also ranks in the top five in minutes played, points, field goals made, and field goals attempted.
