Shanxi Zhongyu

The Shanxi Zhongyu (山西中宇) or Shanxi Dragons are a basketball team in the North Division of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), based in Taiyuan, Shanxi. They moved to Taiyuan beginning in the 2006-07 season. Prior to that the were the Henan Dragons or Henan Jigang Dragons (河南济钢猛龙), based in Luoyang and Jiyuan, Henan, where they played in the 2004-06 seasons. They play their home games at Riverbank Sports Centre.
In the 2004–05 season, the Henan Dragons finished in seventh and last place in the North Division, out of the playoffs. In 2005–06 they suffered the exact same fate. The team has fared little better since moving to Shanxi.
Shanxi continued to struggle in 2006-07 and 2007-08, as they compiled records of 4-26 and 5-25 respectively.
