Singapore Slingers
From Hoopedia
The Singapore Slingers are the first Asia-based club in the Australian National Basketball League and joined at the start of the 2006-07 season. The head coach is former West Sydney Razorbacks coach Gordie McLeod. They play at the Singapore Indoor Stadium (SIS).
The club was the brainchild of NBL stalwart Bob Turner, the Slingers' CEO. The NBL believes the club can open the league to wider audiences and greater revenue. However, the club has averaged crowds of only 1,000-2,000 at its home games so far.
