Tamika Whitmore, born on June 5, 1977 in Tupelo, Mississippi, plays for the Indiana Fever of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA).

College
Whitmore played collegiate basketball while attending the University of Memphis. She finished second in career scoring (2,488 points), first in career field goal percentage (60.6%), fourth in career rebounds (952), and second in career blocked shots (1080). She was the Conference USA Player of the Year in 1998 and 1999. She lead the country in scoring (26.3PPG) during her senior year at University of Memphis.
WNBA
In the 1999 WNBA Draft, she was selected by the New York Liberty. She played with the Liberty for five seasons before signing a free agent contract with the Los Angeles Sparks. She for the Sparks during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. In 2006 she signed a free agent contract with the Indiana Fever for the 2006 season.
In Game 2 of the Fever's 2006 semifinal matchup against the Detroit Shock, Whitmore set a WNBA record for playoff points with 41. She broke Lisa Leslie's mark of 35.
International
As a member of the Spartak Moscow Region team, Whitmore won the EuroLeague Championship in 2007.
