Terrell Eldorado Owens is a former college basketball player but is better known as a wide receiver who plays in the National Football League, currently with the Dallas Cowboys.

He was not highly recruited out of high school and the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga recruited him the hardest and was the only school that allowed him to play two sports. While at Tennessee-Chattanooga he played on the basketball team and started five times. He was part of the team that made it to the 1996 NCAA Division I Men's Tournament.

Owens decided to play football instead. Tto this day Terrell contends that basketball was always his first love. Terrell Owens entered the NFL Draft in 1996 and was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers.

Terrell occasionally shows his skills on the hardwood by playing in charity basketball games. He appeared in the Celebrity Basketball Game in the 2008 NBA All-Star Game weekend; his team won despite Terrell not playing for 12 minutes. He was named game MVP.
