Tina Thompson

Tina Marie Thompson (born February 10, 1975 in Los Angeles, California) is arguably the best woman basketball player in the world today. She plays professionally for the WNBA's Houston Comets and EuroLeague's Spartak Moscow Region. Thompson graduated from the University of Southern California in 1997.

- Selected to the 1997 Kodak District VIII All-American Team as well as the All Pac-10 First Team

- Hauled down her 1,500th career rebound on June 12, 2004 at San Antonio, becoming the second WNBA player to record 1,500 or more rebounds
- Second-ever WNBA player to post 1,000 career rebounds, setting the mark vs. New York on July 28, 2001
- Seventh player in the WNBA to reach 1,000 career points, hitting milestone vs. Sacramento on August 2, 1999.

- Played on 2007 EuroLeague Champions Spartak Moscow Region, garnering these honors: EuroLeague Player of the Year, Forward of the Year, Import Player of the Year, first team All-EuroLeague (by Eurobasket.com) and EuroLeague Final Four MVP
- Played in 2003 with the Kumho Falcons of the Women’s Korea Basketball League (WKBL) and the Houston Stealth of the National Women’s Basketball League (NWBL)
- named MVP of the 2003 NWBL Pro Cup, leading the Stealth to a second-straight title
- played overseas with Rovereto Basket in Rovereto, Italy, following the 2001 WNBA season
- member of the 1999 USA Women’s National Team that finished 4-1 in the 1999 Winter European Tour
- named to the 1998 WNBA Touring Team, which went 3-1 against the best teams in Brazil
