Biography

He played basketball first in his hometown of Chicago at Chicago Vocational School (1993-1995), then out at Marcos de Niza in Tempe, AZ (1995-1997). He played college basketball at Mesa Community College, Mesa, AZ (1997-1999) and Chicago State University (1999-2001). Other experiences include the summer of 2001, when "Go Get It" played in various summer pro leagues and also had individual workouts with the Washington Wizards and Memphis Grizzlies. He and friends made his street name up back in the day because if you throw a lob anywhere in the area of the rim he will "Go Get It". The name stuck. He started out as an opposing team member to the And 1 team out west in 2003 where he played in a few games, throwing it down on anyone who tried to defend him. AND 1 started to get an interest and they had a lot of their leapers on the injured list so they brought him on to the AND 1 squad in the sixth game of the summer in Phoenix, been crushing ever since.
