Tony Romo

Antonio Ramiro Romo (born in San Diego, California) is a former high school basketball player and currently a professional American football player for the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL.
Romo distinguished Romo himself on the hardcourt and on the gridiron in Burlington, Wisconsin. Romo was a star on the basketball team and was barely beat out by Caron Butler for Mr. Basketball Honors for the state of Wisconsin.
After high school Romo decided to focus on football. He played college football at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois. Along with the Walter Payton Award, Romo earned consensus All-America honors. He was also selected All-Ohio Valley Conference and was named OVC Player of the Year for the third straight year.
NFL
Tony Romo went undrafted in the NFL and wound up on the Dallas Cowboys by a compensatory draft selection. Romo sat for four years until finally seeing some action in pre-season games until finally in 2006 got his first start against Carolina. Romo has started all games since.
