Trenton Hassell

Trenton Lavar Hassell (born March 4, 1979 in Clarksville, Tennessee) is an American professional basketball player currently with the Dallas Mavericks of the NBA.
A 6'5", 230 lbs guard-forward from Austin Peay State University, Hassell was selected by the Chicago Bulls with the first pick in the second round (30th overall) of the 2001 NBA Draft. During his rookie season with Bulls in 2001-02, he appeared in 78 games, making 47 starts and averaging 8.7 ppg, 3.3 rpg and 2.2 apg. Hassell's sophomore season in Chicago also proved productive appearing in all 82 games, making 53 starts and averaging 4.2 ppg, 3.1 rpg and 1.8 apg in 24.4 mpg. Hassell is now a regular starter on the Timberwolves and has taken the role of the defensive specialist of the team.
Hassell was waived by the Bulls on October 23, 2003 and signed by the Minnesota Timberwolves on October 29, 2003.
