Escalade attended the University of Lousiville (1994-1998). His other professional experience includes playing for the Harlem Globetrotters (1998-2000), in the Dominican Republic (1998-2000), in China in 2001 and also for the IBL in 2000 and the IBA in 2001. He earned his street name at Rucker Park in NYC in 1997, where he trucked down the lane over an opponent like an "Escalade". In NYC in 2002 he joined the And 1 Mix Tape Tour.
He is boys with the legendary Skip to My Lou who the whole time he was doing his thing with AND 1 he told Es to come out and play and he finally did in 2002 where his presence was undeniable.
He is the younger brother of former NBA player and current TNT analyst, Mark "Action" Jackson.
